Emergency Medical Services has changed since it's earliest days. In fact, it has been quite a dramatic change. From horse-drawn carriages and wooden stretchers to modern ambulances and helicopters, EMS has changed into a more modern and technologically advanced field. EMS Workers however, have enjoyed these advances at an alarmingly slow pace. Many agencies are behind the times. This is mostly due to political challenges. However, the internet is helping to close some of the gaps created by these conflicts.
It is the mission of EMS University to increase both the understanding and development of the public and healthcare professionals with regard to health and safety training in the coming years. The idea is to give providers the tools to provide the highest quality care to the public without compromising patient care. Join our struggle by signing up for a class and telling others why you think this is an important mission.
