Description: This 40 Hour, NREMT Refresher class is completed through the use of Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) and meets National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) guidelines to recertify as an EMT.
This Course Meets NREMT Requirements as CAPCE F5 NREMT Refresher Training.
This course is approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) approved course and designated as (F5 Refresher Training). This course follows the National EMS Education Standards for the Emergency Medical Technician. Students are trained according to the standards outlined above. Students who successfully pass the course, will be issued certification identifying the number of hours obtained for training for the use of re-registration as an EMT.

This course follows National Standard Curriculum for Paramedic Refresher. Students who successfully pass the course, will be presented with a certificate outlining the applicable topic areas. The course refreshes the paramedic with an understanding of providing prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of paramedics, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, special considerations for working in the prehospital setting, and providing patient transportation.
